This pandemic situation is one of the widely spread diseases in recent history. Here are the few positive impacts of Covid-19 pandemic that we must look forward to. A few trends that are blooming or have already surfaced & going to stick even when all this is done.
Helps you build genuine relationships
People are adapting to a pandemic situation, and they also understand what the ideal social behavior is in a similar situation. The COVID-19 situation has positively impacted the way you emote and maintain relationships. You get to spend your time with your family and plan your work better. As life slowed down, we have found ways to stay connected with people, even if it’s virtually.
Greater use of information and communication technology (ICT) and digitalization
A major line of tools & software that can help you survive another pandemic or one that can help you work around your established workflows are going to be welcomed. Companies and individuals have quickly adapted virtual tools to carry out activities that were previously face-to-face. This means greater access to information and knowledge, as well as productivity gains. Investments in ICTs are urgently needed, as they will help revive the economy and may even contribute to the environment, by reducing transportation needs.

The new normal working culture
From WFH to flexi hours, companies are implementing all sorts of new policies to adjust to the workforce’s newfound love of working away from the office.
Many companies have also reported better productivity and efficiency from employees as they WFH, and are changing internally in hopes of maintaining that.
COVID-19 also forced companies to become much leaner than they were before, and as a result of that, a lot of inefficiencies in their operations were realized and weeded out.
Better Healthcare Infrastructure & Systems
I don’t think there was a single nation in the world that was fully prepared for the impact of COVID-19, but the speediness and efficiency of certain countries’ healthcare systems played a huge role in mitigating it. Medical systems in any country will be improved to sustainable levels to face a pandemic situation. They will understand the existing gaps in these systems.
Reimagined Education
Another positive outcome is massive transformation in education. True, most of it was not by choice. With schools closing down all around the world, many teachers are digitalizing the classroom, offering online education, educational games and tasks and self-led learning. Home-schooling is becoming the new way of learning, exposing many parents to what their children know and do.
Nature Returned to Balance
Our globe has finally breathed, indeed!! Never ever has the environment been serviced in a better way. Carbon emissions declined. In China, the country with the world’s biggest carbon footprint, emissions were cut by a quarter. The decrease has led to reports of cleaner air and waterways in locations across the world.
Digitalization in every industry
Digital technology is at the center of today’s economic development debate due to its wide use during the Covid-19 outbreak. While there is no doubt that the pandemic is amplifying the adoption of new technologies, technological advancements were already changing the world over the past two decades, from living standards to the very nature of our work.
Digital adoption has taken a quantum leap at both the organizational and industry levels
Digital technology has transformed consumer habits. During the pandemic, consumers have moved dramatically toward online channels, and companies and industries have responded in turn.
Mobile devices, apps, machine learning, automation and much more allow customers to get what they want almost exactly at the moment they need it. What’s more, these new digital technologies have caused a shift in customer expectations, resulting in a new kind of modern buyer. Today's consumers are constantly connected, app-native, and aware of what they can do with technology. Because of the opportunities that rise from using modern technology, customers often rate organizations on their digital customer experience first. Digital first requires you to rethink how you interact with your customers.
For B2B sales teams, digital first means replacing cold calling with social selling. Your customers are already active in social media and that’s where you need to be. Instead of waiting for the customer to contact you, you will need to reach out to them, build a relationship and help educate them. You can do this by sharing relevant content and your expertise as part of a solution to their problem.
For marketing teams, digital first means reducing your spend on offline marketing activities, such as direct mail, billboards and TV ads. Your customers want (and expect) highly targeted messages, which can only be achieved through a data-driven marketing strategy. Now, you need to use digital channels to implement search engine marketing, account-based marketing and email marketing strategies.
For customer service teams, you’re no longer restricted to waiting for the phone to ring or a fax to come through. Digital first is not just about being reactive. It’s about being proactive in the way you help your customers, who use a wide range of channels to seek out support. Social media, reviews sites, forums, and communities are all now part of the customer service eco-system.
To accommodate the new, modern-day buyer, your business needs to think digital first, too.
